Is there a Free domain host?

I know about geocities, freewebs, %26amp; yahoo. But is there any free domain host that will let me do www.urlname.com (or net, or .us, etc.) Or a really cheap one that I can pay for yearly? Thanks :)

You can create your site on one of those hosts but then go to co.nr to get a free domain name. You just register and type in the domain name you want, type in the existing one, and it puts the new one over the old one!

I did it for a freewebs site I created and it worked perfectly! :-)

Good luck!

Microsoft Office Live Basics offers a free domain http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office... and it will include their logo and link to their service on your site. They are hoping to snag a large share of the market by offering a free domain, hosting and 500MB of storage. It will require a credit card to verify your age.

Microsoft is the only company offering a free domain, but it comes with advertising. If you are willing to pay a nominal fee then http://www.godaddy.com would be your best option.

Other Replys:There are but they are plastered with ads which is really cheesy.

If you making a serious website though you are severely limited as to what you can do with it.

You will have to pay to register a domain name.

Hostgator http://hostgator.com/ has a plan for $6.95 a month. I have used them in the past, customer service is awesome

(good luck with a free service).

Free hosts also do not guarantee 100% uptime. If they are squeezed for bandwidth they will restrict access to you site.

IMO pay the $6.95 a month it%26#039;s well worth it!

Other Replys:http://www.LocoDomains.com offers free hosting when you get a domain
